Department of Biomedicine
The department of Biomedicine conducts research in biomedical fields and educates students at all levels. The main research fields are associated with human biology and diseases and range from the inflammatory and allergic diseases, reproductive biology and medicine, cancer and coronary heart disease. In our studies we use molecular biology, genomics, epigenomics, and other omics based technologies, experimental animal models, and nanotechnologies. The department is responsible for the teaching of human biology and human genetics to students at the Medical Faculty. In addition, we teach in MSc program in biomedicine and doctoral students.
